2009... A Year In Review

Here are a handful of my paintings that I completed in the past year... Tributes to Dale Earnhardt Sr., the King of Pop & one of the most beloved Washington Redskins of all time, all gone to soon. A salute to Jay-Z for dropping another timeless work of art, The Blueprint 3... and the greatest to ever play the game, Michael Jordan. Celebrating Cal Ripken Jr.'s accomplishments and kickin' the NFL season off with Chris Cooley. Thanking a few rising stars Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y & a hometown hero...WALE!

I thank everyone who has supported me and shown love this year, a lot of things got accomplished in 2009. I truly believe 2010 is going to be an even bigger and more exciting year, the team is mean...so stay tuned....

'Pursuit Of Happiness'...

My quote of the year...

"I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold. I'll be fine once I get it, I'll be good." - KiD CuDi

Check out his new video for 'Pursuit Of Happiness'. It's my favorite video of the year and I think it's a great way to end the decade and start a new one...

The Otpholio

This cat is one of my biggest inspirations and supporters, as well as a very dear friend of mine. I met Otis about a year ago when I reached out to him for help on a portfolio I was putting together. Since then we have been huge fans and supporters of each other's work. The image above is his new logo, and boy oh boy is it bananas.
He is one of the most talented kids I know, and luckily we've already had the pleasure of collaborating on a project (RocketKnife logo pictured below).
He just put up his blog titled 'The Otpholio' and I advise you to check it out, as well as his ARTST profile.
I'm happy to say that I admire his work and our friendship will only continue to grow. Keep an eye out for collabs from us...

You Don't Know Jack, Yet.

The past couple weeks have been a lot of fun, especially because I got to collaborate with a new friend Duy Nguyen. Duy is the most talented photographer and I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, so why not collab! He filmed me while I was working on the Wiz Khalifa x Curren$y painting, as well as snapping a lot of great photos. Keep and eye out for the short documentary featuring none other than...me... Click the link and check out some photos!

Earthtone

The latest project me and the Goon Squad have been working on is the new & improved Earthtone official logo and mySpace page. Below is the new logo and the link to the band's mySpace...

Wiz Khalifa x Curren$y

Higher Learning

Arnold Yun and the Students of Hip-Hop organization here @ VCU put on a phenomenal show last weekend headlined by Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y. Richmond's own Millz, Nickleus F and my boys from Earthtone threw it down as opening acts. This past week I did a Wiz Khalifa x Curren$y painting so I could get some pictures with them and a couple of autographs... Some pics below...

The XX

The only reason why I know about this band is because I clicked on their album artwork. Little did I know I was going to fall in-love with their debut album 'XX'. The XX is a band formed of 3 20 year-olds from South London, England.
They have a fantastic R&B style with an Indie Rock sound and to me they are the new-aged Everything But The Girl... Check them out, you will not be disappointed....

One of my favorite albums from 2009...
